Art is a powerful expression that allows individuals to explore their creativity and express who they are. It’s the unfortunate reality, however, that in countries such as India, young kids aren’t able to access basic art supplies like crayons and markers. We knew that, as a non-profit organization, we had to give these children opportunities to show their abilities through the form of art.
While on his stay in India, New Jerseys’s Colors4Change president, Zeeshan Shariff, was able to visit Angan-Wadi Government School, a child care center that aims to combat prevalent issues such as child hunger and malnutrition. With the help of donations from fundraisers, Colors4Change was able to supply the school with brand-new art supplies and coloring books. We appreciate everyone who attended fundraisers and donated money as you guys are the reason why we are able to give a sense of hope and identity in these kids’ lives; an identity of colors and positivity.
