Call for Donations – Partnering with Mount Sinai Refugee Medical Clinic

This holiday season, Colors4Change has been continuing with its mission, delivering boxes of colors to homeless shelters, youth centers, and other organizations working with children. (For more specifics, refer to our Instagram or Partnership Page).

However, C4C has been approached with an extremely unique and amazing opportunity to help refugee children. The director of the largest refugee medical clinic in Illinois, Mount Sinai, reached out to us via email this past week. He told us of the children, displaced and confused, who feel transported to their happy place while coloring. They forget the complexity of their lives, even if momentarily, and feel like normal children.

Hundreds of kids will be arriving within the upcoming months! Colors4Change has the chance to help ease their transition to the US by providing crayons, color pencils, coloring books, etc. We are calling upon our C4C family to assist us by giving any and all donations of colors you may have!

Non-toxic crayons are preferable as to prevent any eating or health mishaps. Mothers of six can’t monitor all their children’s activity simultaneously.

If you have any donations, supplies or monetary, please comment below or contact us via email! We would love to organize a pick-up or drop-off. The Colors4Change team is grateful to any and all donations. Here is to a happy new year to all, starting off the way we do best: by helping others!
